Roots & Renewal
A Women Empowerment Retreat
Fully Hosted, from Chiang Mai to Pai
“Four days to put the city down — real soil, real food, a slower pace, without giving up comfort.”
Minimum group size 8 · working title only, final naming/branding TBD
Why this retreat
Bangkok gives these women everything except stillness. Roots & Renewal gives them six days to put it down — real soil, real food, a slower pace — without giving up comfort.
Who it’s for
Open to all women who feel the need to create more space for connection with nature and a sustainable lifestyle — Bangkok-based, urban professionals or entrepreneurs, financially able to invest in their own wellbeing. They are not backpackers — they want an authentic, hands-in-the-soil experience, but delivered with real comfort: a proper room, good food, no logistics to manage themselves.
Their stated need: distance from pollution and screens, a reset for body and mind, and space to think about their own life without an agenda from work or family.
What you’ll find
- Detox — from Bangkok’s air, noise, and screens.
- Reconnect — with nature, the land, and simple daily rhythms.
- Reflect — through guided empowerment work, not just relaxation.
- Return — cared for from Chiang Mai airport to Chiang Mai airport.
Who’s hosting you
Pai Seedlings Foundation
Pai Seedlings Foundation is an educational farm in the Pai region of northern Thailand, working at the intersection of permaculture, agroforestry, and community. Built alongside the Karen community of Muang Noi, the farm is growing into a regional hub for environmental education and regenerative agriculture — anchored by a new bamboo sala and kitchen — and supports the visibility of organic growers through the Regenerative Farmers Network. Roots & Renewal is one of the Foundation’s first steps toward opening this world to guests, not just students and partners.
ลิซ คง
Founder & Retreat HostLyse holds a master’s degree in chemistry and spent ten years in the luxury cosmetics industry before leaving the corporate world behind. She began a second career as a photographer, then trained as a life and health coach — for the past ten years she has held space for women’s wellbeing, guiding them through transitions in their bodies, their relationships, and their sense of purpose. She founded Pai Seedlings Foundation to bring that same work onto the land: permaculture, community, and now this retreat. Married and the mother of two boys, Lyse leads Roots & Renewal from lived experience, not theory — she asks of her guests only what she continues to ask of herself.
Moona
Farm & Wellness CoordinatorMoona works alongside Lyse across the farm’s daily life, and leads the retreat’s garden, harvest, and cooking sessions — bringing guests straight from soil to table.

Booking policy
Group size: minimum 8 women to run the retreat as scheduled; target 10–12.
Deposit: a 30% deposit secures a place at booking; the balance is due 30 days before departure.
Cancellation: deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations more than 30 days before departure receive a full refund of the balance paid beyond the deposit; within 30 days, the full amount is retained.
If the minimum isn’t reached: the Foundation may postpone or reschedule the retreat, with a full refund offered to any guest who cannot make the new date.
Bring the farm home
The retreat ends at the airport — the relationship doesn’t have to.
During the free afternoon on Day 5, guests can browse and order Seedlings Farm and Be LEAF products — teas, garden harvests, and the same high-quality organic essential oils used in the chakra class — shipped directly to their home address after they return to Bangkok (or abroad).
This turns a one-time retreat guest into an ongoing customer, and gives the Foundation a second, quieter revenue line beyond the retreat fee itself.
Product list, pricing, and shipping details available on request.
