Not a tour.
A working day.

Seedlings Farm is a real permaculture and agroforestry farm in the mountains outside Pai, run by the Pai Seedlings Foundation. We’re not a tourist attraction. We’re a farm with a purpose: to show that growing food in harmony with the land is possible, practical, and worth protecting.

When you join us, you join the farm as it actually is. You work alongside Lyse and the team on whatever the season calls for — composting, planting, tending, harvesting. You pick ingredients from the garden, cook a shared meal together, and eat slowly, outside, with people you just met over soil and a kitchen fire.

No performance. No script. Just a genuine day on a real farm, with people who chose to build something different here.

How the day unfolds

9:00 AM Arrival

Welcome & Be LEAF tea

You arrive at the farm and are welcomed with a cup of Be LEAF herbal tea — grown and dried here. A short walk through the farm gets you oriented: the agroforestry zones, the vegetable beds, the bamboo sala, how it all connects.

9:30 AM Hands-on

Get to work

This is the real part. You work alongside the team on an active farm task — composting, planting seedlings, or harvesting what’s ready today. No experience needed. We’ll show you what to do and why it matters. The day is seasonal, so no two visits are exactly the same.

11:00 AM Kitchen

From garden to table

You move to the bamboo sala kitchen. Together, you prepare lunch using what the farm has today. The cooking is the workshop: we talk about food systems, what we grow and why, what it means to eat from 20 metres away. It’s messy and collaborative and the food is always good.

12:30 PM Lunch

Eat together, slowly

A long, unhurried lunch with what you just made. Lyse shares the story of the Foundation — the Regenerative Farmers Network, the work with local smallholders in the Pai valley, what brought her here and what she’s trying to build. Questions welcome, and there are usually many.

~2:30 PM Departure

Leave with something

You head home with a small Be LEAF tea sample from the farm and a clearer sense of what a different relationship with food and land actually looks like in practice.

Your host

Meet Lyse & Moona

Lyse and Moona welcome you with all their heart at Seedlings Farm. Together they run the working permaculture farm, and support women farmers around the Pai valley. Along with the whole Pai Seedlings Team and Damien as President, they are building a model for regenerative agriculture rooted in this specific landscape and community.

Damien, Lyse, Moona and the gardeners Pi Nu and Lung Kamphan lead every farm day. This is their life’s work, and Lyse will tell you about it honestly — what’s working, what isn’t, and why it matters.
