Conditions of Stay

Internships
  • Internships duration:
    • 3 to 9 months INCLUDING ASSISTANCE TO OBTAIN YOUR VISA AND WORK PERMIT.
    • Monday-Friday: 9am to 4-5pm (flexible)
  • Contract and mission:
    • we will decide together on a mission that is mutually enriching. This will be the basis of our contract. As a registered organization we can also sign the internship agreement from your university should you need one. The mission typically organize the intern’s work between:
    • Learning experience at the farm: hands-on work to participate in the educational farm operations: mostly with our Thai team: gardening, planting trees, water management, composting, cooking maintenance, etc.
    • Specific mission based on your skills, experience and passions or goals: supervised by Damien Masselis and/or one of the other project managers.
  • Other Benefits: lifestyle at the farm, including food from the organic gardens.
  • Donations:
    • 5000thb / month in support of the foundation’s projects: pay in full to confirm the internship.
    • Accomodation on site: 5000thb / month: pay monthly.

Application Process

⚠️ Please note that:

  • Processing time for us and the thai government to issue the appropriate visa can be up to 3 months.
  • Visa and visa extenstions approval are up to the Bureau of Immigration: Pai Seedlings Foundation provides the legal framework, the necessary documents and administrative support but can not guarantee the process.
  • We are experienced and dedicated to find the best solution. </aside>
Internships
  1. Contact us and send us your application ⇒ we will review it with our board of directors and get back to you asap. 🔗 link to Contact us page
  2. Arrange an online call to meet, explore mutually beneficial areas of collaboration ⇒ define the backbone of your internship mission.
  3. Write and sign the Internship Agreement ⇒ lays out mission, conditions, duration, dates, etc.
  4. Make the donation to the Foundation’s thai bank acocunt and send us the confirmation slip.
  5. Prepare all the documents for your visa application and apply at the Royal Thai Embassy or online. Below is a non-exhaustive list of the required documents (please note that this may be different in your country):
    1. Passport or travel document with a validity of no less than 6 months
    2. Visa application form duly completed and signed (provided at the embassy or online)
    3. 2 passport-size photographs on photographic paper, from the front without sunglasses and with the bare head (taken no more than 6 months before)
    4. Copy of round trip ticket.
    5. Invitation letter and other documents from Pai Seedlings Foundation.
  6. Once you have obtained your visa you may enter the country and your visa will be valid for 3 months after your arrival date. Should your mission last longer, we will provide the necessary documents and support to extend your visa. Please not that the approval of your visa extension is up to the Immigration Office and not up to us.
  7. Step 5: Arrive in Pai and start your internship.
