Project : Education & local schools

Giving back to the local community that welcomes us in the village of Vieng Nua is important to us, as is the education value of all our undertakings.

It will take passion for our vision, understanding of the local culture and imagination to craft workshops and courses aimed at sparking curiosity and opportunities with local schools.

Learn about Pai Seedlings’ projects and vision, talk to local schools and children, make proposition as to how to best foster creative interactions.

Mission & Objectives

• Establish contact with local schools and parents:
  • Introduce Pai Seedlings’s foundation values and vision.
  • Understand the schools dynamics, how they could benefit from what we offer, and how we can better understand their need to craft an efficient offer.
  • Discuss potential education opportunities and projects that could be co-created.

• Make proposition & design for the education program
  • Study the feasibility of the project, budget, plan.
  • Present your propositions to the foundation members, the schools and the university professors.

Required Qualities

1. Personal curiosity and motivation to participate in implementing effective agroforestry/permaculture systems. Authentic passion for organic practices are essential.
2. Education or Experience in teaching foreign children. Fluent in Thai and comfortable in spoken English.
3. Autonomous and organized. Can work on your own, plan tasks for yourseld and others and let them know.
4. Efficient & Responsible. The job gets done, needs are expressed, experience is shared and you can be accountable for your work.

Expected education and/or training and/or experience

• For thai nationals: University degree in education or environmental related field.
• For foreigners: mush hold a teaching certificate: TESOL, TEFL or equivalent or relevant diploma.
• Experience in teaching children.
